Daily Duties at Sykes Enterprises:
Attended an intensive 2 week course on the DOS environment, Networking and hardware. Tech support engineer responsible for supporting Novell peer-to-peer networks and 2 operating systems (one with multitasking capabilities). Singly managed a team of 23 tech support engineers responsible for supporting Novell's operating systems and peer-to-peer networking systems with >10000 tech support phone incidents. Responsible for tech training, daily client contact, interviewing potential employees, upkeep of the contact database, tracking and reporting of support info, and conducting weekly team meetings. Computer competence / training / classes in Basic, Fortran, Dos, also various word processing, data base, utility, accounting, desktop publishing, communications, spreadsheet and graphics software packages. Tech support for Intuit, SGI, GTI, Novell, Caere, Packard Bell, etc. Proficient on Mac's, PC's, Unix systems.
