Implemented F5 labs Big IP switch in a fully redundant configuration to assist the OCC in reducing costs and ensuring a fully redundant environment on the extranet. Implemented an enterprise monitoring platform so that engineers can monitor and report on link, router, switch, and server availability to OCC management. Responsible for the upgrade of the firewalls, router and switch on the OCC's extranet. Performed monthly security assessments reporting to OCC management the vulnerabilities on the extranet and recommended corrective action. Implemented DCC's dialogic system to perform emergency notifications in the event of a disaster. Responded to threats on the extranet and took actions accordingly. Performed disaster recovery testing with OCC's staff. Implementing an anti-virus proxy server array to assist the OCC with betting logging, reducing the internet borne viruses into the OCC's WAN, and better utilizing the OCC's internet connection. Attended weekly meetings with OCC management and TCS to discuss and remediate shortcomings related to internet connectivity and the extranet. Worked with the OCC developers in communicating with national banks to help better secure their computing environment. Assisted the OCC in making enterprise wide DNS changes/upgrades. Responds to network threats on a 24x7x365 basis. Responsible for maintaining all of the OCC's IDS, firewalls, routers, switches, and network security devices. Responsible for implementing the current dial-in Remote Access Solution. Assisted in the implementation of agency wide VPN. Assists the OCC's staff in the support of their Microsoft Active Directory network. Assisted the OCC from their migration from Microsoft Windows 4.0 to their current Windows 2003 Active Directory. Worked with the OCC's CIRC to roll out security hotfixes, implement ACL's, and help diagnose potential attacks. Assisted the OCC in the renewal of Verisign certificates on the Extranet. Documented the procedure for responding to IDS and security alerts for the OCC's NOC staff. Assists the OCC with hardware procurements. Performs top tier support for routing issues in accordance with NIST and ITIL standards for security and change management.
