Daily Duties at Medcam Billing:

As a claims specialist I would follow up on all claims billed. Using the AR report given to me I would be responsible for the following: For the claims that were paid, I would make sure they were paid correctly If claims were not paid correctly, I would inquire as to why and proceed with any requests made by the payors Calling and making sure claims were received and in process Rebilling claims if necessary, with or without changes Ensure that all patient and insurance demographics were entered correctly, and if not made appropriate changes Communicated with the patients to obtain any updated insurance information Answered any questions the patients might have had in order to understand the EOBs received
