KCI, USA Billing Specialist I May 2005-November 2006 As a Billing Specialist I, I was responsible for: Validating all claims for accurate rates, patient demographics, and insurance information Reviewed our HERO Support Log system for any requests from the other departments regarding changes or corrections Sending requests through the Support Log system or email to our Delair Analyst to correct or update changes for payors in our billing system Notifying the EDI team of any changes that could affect the work or process they follow Working the Unbilled report, making changes that will allow the claims to be billed correctly Volunteering for projects and training classes allowed me to demonstrate my skills and knowledge. This gave me the opportunity to move up at KCI to the EDI department.
