Daily Duties at Kci, Usa:

Audits files generated against files transmitted against files received. Performs reconciliation functions for the 2nd EDI files Assures all claim EDI files are generated out of the billing software are transmitted properly and acknowledged appropriately by clearing house payor and compliant claim formats are submitted Checks clearinghouse files to assure only correct payors are included Works with PFS and the Contracting team to assure billing software has correct payor information and required fields as it relates to EDI billing and the other required information incoming and outgoing Assures that errors and warnings for submitted claims are corrected by personally correcting and resubmitting claims, and by working daily error logs Stays up to date with all regulations and communications that impact claims, claim status, eligibility, benefits, authorization or other electronic and or web based communications Communicates any changes or updates to EDI Analyst to communicate to appropriate individuals in PFS Communicates regularly with counterparts at clearinghouse and payors to ensure ongoing quality improvement Responsible for printing and working clearinghouse reports in Delair and ClickOn daily for all DMACS with regard to claim level errors and warnings Documents all actions in Delair notes Assists the EDI Analysts daily with any and all EDI issues to ensure the daily functions of the EDI billing process operates efficiently Reviews and corrects returned mail from the clearinghouse I have been able to greatly gain confidence in the year that I have been responsible for the 2nd EDI billing. The 2nd billing process was a new venture for KCI for the electronic side and was a requirement by Medicare. Placing all of the rules and regulations into action is something I have been able to be a huge part of at KCI. I can honestly declare that I have made the difference in getting our 2nd off of the ground and functioning as well as it is today. My research and persistence has shown in the number of claims billed and adjudicated. In the future, the 2nd should grow because of the foundation set into place in part by my accomplishments. I have also worked various projects in and out of our department.
