Worldwide responsibility for corporate relations, advertising, public relations and executive communications functions. Focus on shaping a positive corporate reputation within industry analyst, media, stakeholder and employee communities within a fast-paced, publicly exposed, and ever-changing business environment. • Led Strategy for High Profile Business Transactions. Drove communications and investor relations for 33 acquisitions and 65 divestitures, including the sale of the entire company to Japan’s Nippon Mining Company, the then largest sale of a U.S. technology company to foreign interests. • Developed Strategic Crisis Management Framework. Oversaw communications for several crisis situations including the Defense Department’s “$400 Hammer” incident and “Operation Ill Wind” investigation, the stock market crash of 1987 (resulting in the largest single day drop in Gould’s shares of any NYSE listed company), and the transition of three CEO’s during critical junctures in the company’s evolution.
