Daily Duties at United States Air Force:
Managed the Quality Assurance program for a military contract dining facility. Performed procedures to determine contractor compliance with quality requirements of contract. Administered the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan and provided technical assistance as a Quality Assurance Evaluator. Developed a Surveillance Plan and inspection schedule for each contract term. Furnished technical assistance and feedback to contractor to improve customer service. Investigated deficiencies reported by customers and management. Completed inspections using prescribed surveillance methods to ensure performance and safety requirements were in compliance. Inspected work for timeliness and quality completion by contractor. If defects in work performed were found, determined problem source(s) and discussed with Contract representative. Notified the Base Contracting Office and Food Service Officer of unacceptable contractor performance. Prepared Contract Discrepancy Report of contractor's performance when performance became unacceptable. Ensured documentation of the date of inspection, deficiencies noted, and corrective action taken. Met with the contractor to discuss unsatisfactory items and ensured follow-up action was taken to correct discrepancies. Ensured an audit trail of inspections. Provided technical guidance to the contractor of Air Force Policies and Procedures. Responded to non-technical questions such as status of reports, suspense dates for matters requiring compliance and similar information. Operated computer using general software programs to type spreadsheets of schedules, correspondence, and other reports. Served as liaison between contractor, contractor's representative, and customers. Prepared and signed receiving reports. With concurrent duties as Food Service Budget Manager, prepared the food service budget and financial forecast for review by management. Monitored dining facility expenditures and profits, created spreadsheet of results for management review. Researched financial fitness of facilities to aid management in determining open/close feasibility, resulting in the proposed closure of two underused facilities. Created slide show for management's review detailing savings to the government of over $56,000 yearly.
