Answered telephone inquiries and handled requests received via e-mail, internet, fax, voice mail,regular and internal mail. Provided information, answered questions, resolved problems or issues, educated clients, members and staff on a variety of issues. Provided general insurance information, contractual interpretation, claims processing information and benefit determination. Answered complex medical questions from customer service representatives, nurses, staff, facilities, provider offices and members. Provided backup for customer service, sales department, nurses, claims and other various departments or service units while staying abreast of all changes in policies, plans and medical necessity requirements.
