Daily Duties at Pier 1 Imports:
Recruit, hire, develop, supervise, schedule and motivate staff of full and part-time associates. Manage day-to-day activities of sales floor; drive sales and company initiatives including conversion, UPTs and the Pier 1 Credit Card. Administrative duties including performance reviews and merit increase decisions, monthly billing reconciliation, ordering supplies, vendor communication, property maintenance, all correspondence with distribution center, regional and home office team members, all store-related fiscal planning and follow-up, visual merchandising and transition planning. Consistently exceed sales targets leading to increases the past 4 quarters with a 13% gain to target for the second quarter of fiscal 08 ending August 2007.
