Accumulated extensive experience in needs assessment, curriculum development, teaching, evaluation, and operational/clinical management. Administrative Assistant, Office of Health Promotion: ? Responsible for administrative support of health behavior change programs ? Emphasis on smoking cessation and weight loss programs Promoted To: Program Coordinator, Office of Health Promotion: ? Accountable for design, teaching, and evaluation of health behavior change programs ? Supervision of instructor and clerical staff ? Assisted Department Director in budget management Promoted To: Assistant Director, Office of Health Promotion: ? Accountable for multidisciplinary staff team supervision, budget management, and oversight of a wide range of health education programs and projects. Promoted To: Manager, Preventive Services: ? Participated in redesign and consolidation of the Office of Health Promotion with outpatient Clinical Nutrition and Diabetes Education departments. Responsible for development of strategic and operational plan, and operational oversight of the new combined department. ? Developed and implemented strategy and operational plan for new outpatient diabetes education program in conjunction with Medical Director. Created staffing model and reimbursement systems. Managed interdisciplinary clinical and administrative team. ? Secured initial and ongoing certification of diabetes education program by the Michigan Department of Public Health, which enables diabetes programs to bill Medicare and Medicaid for services rendered.
