Daily Duties at Mid Columbia Ambulance:

•Responsible for making contact with Doctors, Nurses and Administrative staff in the Tri-Cities area at the local hospitals, Dr.’s offices and Nursing facilities. Attend Trauma council meetings, network meetings, city counsel meetings and contractual meetings. Participate in EMS continuing education classes, teaching CPR, First Aid to healthcare providers. Creating flyers and brochures to promote the company. •Deal with staffing issues in regards to proper presentation of themselves and the company when they are on a call. Participated in making stand-by arrangements for local community events that required medical staffing to be onsite. Created a new business and marketing plan as well as writing grants and business loans for the company for additional funding. Participated in field work, touching base with the facilities that used our services to keep abreast of any new changes in equipment that they are using and to make sure that our crews were presenting themselves appropriately when they picked up or dropped off a patient. Directly supervised employees who assisted in the PR department to ensure that their time was used wisely and effectively. • Accomplished taking the company from running 8 calls a month in December of 2004 to over 150 calls a month (1875% growth) by February of 2006. Also assisted with scheduling, staffing, new hire interviews and disciplinary procedures.
