Daily Duties at Kaiser Permanente :
•Client Services Responsibilities included: Responsible for communicating with Doctors, nurses and patients to give them results on tests, Completed reports sent to our office from Doctors and Nurses i.e. Newborn screening, HIV, Blood Culture, Urine and Cancer, continuously filed and faxed reports that were completed. Used client services intranet call log and Ultra to find information needed for Doctors or Nurses. Kept doctors and nurses informed of critical test results, answered the phone on a timely basis to achieve customer satisfaction goals. Participated in continuing education classes offered at the lab to improve job performance and to increase general knowledge •Laboratory Technical Assistant Responsibilities included: Responsible for setting up cultures for Urine, Blood, Spinal Fluids, Genitals and Throats. Looked up any requests made by other departments or Doctors in Ultra and worked in the Pathology department. Filed Pathology slides and helped to make and distribute them to the Doctors on and off-site. Resulted Cytology reports and Pathology reports, sent reports to the proper people. Also helped the Pathology Assistants in the Grossing room to set up specimens.
