Daily Duties at Dell Inc:
Designed smooth integration of externally and internally developed diagnostic and hardware configuration code into Dell’s automated build-to-order manufacturing system. Integration requirements demanded robust and efficient solutions for speed of manufacturing throughout Dell’s worldwide factories. • Successfully integrated third party software components across multiple hardware platforms including Desktops – Dimension and Optiplex, Portables and Servers (Stand alone platforms with single drives as well as in RAID setups, and Storage configurations). Interfaced with external vendors to provide requirements and feedback for vendors’ development of software components resulting in streamlined resolution of manufacturing issues. Engaged internal customers to assess productivity, troubleshoot and debug issues and improve processes minimizing or eliminating downtime and lost revenue of global manufacturing facilities. Successfully troubleshot, debugged and resolved worldwide factory issues of numerous types including uPXE under Linux.
