Daily Duties at Outdoor Dimensions:
Read Comps-Pdf’s, drawing’s or blueprints and re-design as needed. Verify materials, function ability, location feasibility, verify permitting and safety concerns. Work with all departments including subcontractors and suppliers to verify availability, time lines, costs, sizes and materials. Provide bid documentations with details to produce all types of residential sales office furniture, monuments, signs, banners, flags cut-out-copy and their installation locally and out of state. Provide a detailed spreadsheet estimate with notes for all departments’ occupation with details on materials, layouts, nesting, man hours, and types of equipment to include service contracts when required. Provide copies of the above to lead estimator, records dept, billing and personal files for future reference. Keep records of all changes made by others until completion. As a side note: I assisted the planning comity for company events and provided weekly material (writings) to the editor of the company’s monthly newsletter. I worked with 250 employees, dozens of suppliers and ten or so sub contractors, all of whom I got to know and enjoy during the 1 ½ years I worked here. It is unfortunate that due to the decline in this industry that the company had to down size so drastically. I look forward however to the next adventure with anticipation and eagerness. Everything happens for a reason.
