Daily Duties at Wachovia Corporation:

03 • Provide payroll administration to several major client groups (approximately 38,000 employees) consisting of Wealth Management, Wachovia Securities, Corporate Investment Banking and Evergreen Asset Management-most profitable/high maintenance payroll areas within the bank. • Subject Matter Expert on STD 's, monthly payroll processing, taxes, w2's, and payroll calculations for offcycle pay adjustments. • Assist in supervision of call center team of 15 that is dedicated to incoming calls/emails from employees only. Take escalations from team members in regards to pay, taxes (federal, state, local), compliance issues, and also deductions (401K,deferrals, garnishments). • Sole contact among all payroll teams for international/expariate/foreign nationals payroll processing. • Work closely with all divisions including Payroll Compliance, Employee Relations, Relocation, Compensation as well as payroll consultants Deloitte & Touche. • Serve in capacity of payroll trainer for new hires and mentor for rest of teams. Ensure flawless payroll execution for both semi-monthly and monthly paid employees. • Responsible for analysis of daily error reports/queries as well as pre/post confirm reports to identify any potential payroll issues. • Analyze all payroll uploads and root cause analysis when issues are identified. • Work closely with various Business Partners, HR reps and our finance department within my client group on a daily basis to make the partnership between the HR Support Center and their units successful. • Provide operational assistance with other areas, including time entry systems, HR online systems, HR Policy guidance and interpretation for managers. • Assist in data entry reconcilements and processing (transfers, pay adjustments, corrections to employee records, direct deposit info. etc) as well as continuous audits processed work. • Address any customer service issues and assist in performance evaluations and developmental feedback. • Provided recommendations for improvements for current processes and initiated/implemented many process improvement projects • Often served as lead analyst on payroll operations projects for my team • Served as lead analyst for my payroll team each payroll run. Ensuring all incentive and commission files were received and loaded. As well as all Manager self service reject reports and pre confirm reports were completed before authorizing payroll to be submitted
