Process orders for VSAT (satellite), DSL, 56k, 128k, 384k, 768k, and T1 Government Contracts in STAMPS (USPS order tracking database). Use NetPro, F & E, OrderPro, COMS, LEC/CLEC (LRDS/Cameo), and VDDS databases to process and maintain government accounts. Work as a team with Telco’s, Internet Coordinators, Install Administrators, NOC, Provisioning , Hot cut groups, and Customer service. Liaison between Coordinators, Provisioning and customer to help determine the best cause of action for address discrepancy, conduit/facility issues, phone panel/backboard issues, and make sure equipment shipped to the right place and mounted or placed in a cabinet on-site. Monitor progress of circuit install and complete milestone tasks until order up and billable. Senior, Tech Support Engineer 9/2000 to 10/2003 MCI WorldCom, Inc, Ashburn, VA Answer customer surveys from the trouble tickets the 1st Level Tech Support Reps process via postmortem(s). Maintain time worked for all reps such as tardiness, late lunches and update Calendar accordingly, Handle escalations, Design Applications/DNS training manual for all new reps, maintain contact lists, internal contact list for all employees. Set up internal Training for cross-departmental knowledge. Perform digital/crime forensics for DNS, SMTP (track messages through the system that may be due to massmail, spam, and spoof attacks), UUCP, and News Feed tickets when necessary or requested by law enforcement. Back-up phone queue when fire-drill scenario is present. Applied the network topology (bus, ring, backbone) to the network design based on traffic pattern analysis. Advise users on incorporation of hardware and software improvements. Participated in analytical studies evaluating system design, requirements analyses, and acquisition specifications for the local area networks. Application DNS Engineer Level I/II 3/1999 to 9/2000 UUNET, A WorldCom Company , Fairfax, VA Troubleshoot via the phone for customers DNS (Domain Name System), SMTP Mail, UUCP mail, streaming newsfeeds, and register/transfer domain names. Training new Applications/DNS reps, update PCI customer contact system, deal directly with other tech support departments to help solve customer problem(s). Enter directly into customer Remedy and ETMS tracking system all phone calls taken, pull tickets for processing. Categorize tickets from the incoming queue, and keep track of all tickets I work on and notify customers of any changes or additions. Keeping the Accounting Department notified of all new Domain registrations for billing purposes
