Daily Duties at Veeco Instruments:
o Directing and managing Engineering department (20+ multidiscipline salaried personnel team: Mechanical, Controls, Software Engineering, & Documentation Control) in full scope of sustaining and new product development engineering for HDD industry robotics and process automation o Restructured engineering team and strive to create a culture of accountability; Restored team morale and credibility by creating proactive team infrastructure and taking ownership for resolution of business and team disputes and challenges o Mentor group supervisors and lead strategic planning; Promote teamwork and collaboration within the engineering and manufacturing organization and other functional areas o Spearheaded development and implementation of Engineering Master Schedule; Lead Program and Project management efforts; Lead project cost and budget controls efforts o Developing manpower requirements and work closely with HR and employment agencies to identify, screen, and hire technical talents.
