Daily Duties at Charleston Water System:

- Create and resolve work orders within the CityWorks CMMS database while reviewing for accuracy - Design work order templates in MS word to be utilized within the CityWorks CMMS; - Assist with the input of critical feature inventory data - Monitor and close Service Requests created by dispatch - Monitor all Preventive Maintenance work orders, completed rehabilitation work (updating feature inventory), and billing of damaged utilities - Provide various reports and queries as required under the C-MOM program utilizing a program called Crystal Reports - Assist the I&I Supervisor in the collection of information and the generating of reports with regards to Inflow & Infiltration evaluation studies - Distribute preventative and corrective scheduled maintenance work order to departmental senior supervisors - Review of GIS feature databases and maps for accuracy and completeness - Development and maintenance of Technical Section's filing system - Daily input and monthly analysis and reporting of the department's Productivity Measurement Program (PMP) - Reconcile daily work orders for materials issued for job sites, truck count, etc., and complete balancing at end of the week to meet weekly inventory interface - Assist Accounting Department with queries on work orders and material costs - Follow up on any discrepancies in account numbers, materials issued, etc. with department concerns - Maintain information on computer system to aid in daily analysis of accounts - Review and revise current Standard Operating Procedures, as required - Review departmental section's daily payroll recap sheets for accuracy and completion - Use of ArcView GIS program to add wastewater collection features such as mains, manholes, pumps, etc to the Wastewater Dept’s GIS map - Communicate with departmental supervisors to ensure and verify all information provided and obtained in the addition of wastewater features to the ArcView GIS map - Provide training on the use of ArcView GIS and Cityworks to various employees within the Water and Wastewater Depts.
