Daily Duties at Banner Desert Medical Center:
Responsible for the effective operation of diversity programs and activities including their development, implementation, evaluation and enhancement for a 711 bed flagship hospital and skilled nursing facility in the Banner Health System. Earn and maintain Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO); Designed and led hospital based cultural sensitivity training and seminars later adopted as system wide standard for all Banner Health System facilities. Provide cultural and language consultation, community outreach, health/wellness promotion and healthcare liaison.
