Daily Duties at Glaxo Smith Kline:
Responsible for the implementation of a program and application to automate the sourcing negotiation process for GSK’s Procurement organization. Managed resources from the 30 person Global Systems & Process group within the 1200 person global GSK Procurement organization in the following: ? Identified technical and functional requirements for the application, analyzed the market to identify possible solutions, performed an RFP to evaluate a short list of potential solutions and facilitated the selection of the best solution and provider. ? Responsible for implementing the solution including application configuration, user training, transition from the existing service provider (Free Markets) and re-design of the Sourcing Group Management (SGM) methodology and process. ? Supported ongoing rollout including reorganization of GS&P resources to support the new program including user training and Sourcing event and negotiation facilitation. Within a year of implementation, the team had facilitated and performed over 75 RFX and Reverse Auction events with a spend of over $100M and an average savings of over 25%.
