Daily Duties at U.S. Navy:

Ten years of experience as a Fire Control Electronics Technician in the U.S. Navy. Promoted to the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E-7). Cruise Missile Supervisor for all surface variants of the Tomahawk Weapon System. Supervised, trained and assisted a team of 14 junior technicians in the troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic Tomahawk and Harpoon surface missile fire control systems, MK 160 gun and Standard missile fire control systems, Global Command and Control System - Maritime OTH-T Database system, and specialized equipment and circuits. Performed preventive maintenance on weapons; followed standard checkout procedures to locate and repair system malfunctions; directed testing, alignments, and adjustments of radar-indicating circuits and power supplies; used advanced electronic test equipment. Led and trained more than 25 technicians in the operation and maintenance of radar equipment, fire control systems, and weapons direction/designation systems in all modes. Fabricated, maintained and installed electrical/electronic cable assemblies; performs maintenance on electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and cooling and drying equipment; completed maintenance forms and system documentation; controlled system inventories of installed equipment, repair parts and supplies. Analyzed weapons fire control systems failures and directed corrective maintenance actions; coordinated shop activities and served as weapon systems test coordinator; diagnosed non-routine malfunctions and provided the expertise necessary to affect repairs; inspected completed work assignments; tested, analyzed, isolated faults, and maintained digital computers; reads schematics and block servo-mechanical diagrams; oversaw the creation of weekly, quarterly, and cycle maintenance schedules; used Microsoft based computing software for troubleshooting and report generation; HP/UNIX operator.
