Daily Duties at Daymon Worldwide:
Most recent position is that of Jr. Category Manager in Non-Foods HBC department at Pathmark. Assist Sr. Category Manager in day-to-day management of 14 categories including Oral/Dental care, Hair Care, Baby and Baby Formula, Personal Soap, Deodorant, Analgesics, Diet/Sports Nutrition, Cough & Cold, Stomach, Vitamins, Home Health Care and Adult Nutrition categories. Meet with vendors/manufactures to negotiate pricing and ads, along with new item submissions and plan-o-grams. Maintain Category Planner in Excel shared folder (S drive) to ascertain if sales numbers will meet or exceed last year. Create ad submissions based on vendor contracts and/or accruals and maintain knowledge of monies remaining. Oversee headquarter customer service management of regional retailer Pathmark in the New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware markets. Direct sales and delivery development functions, including new product launches, production scheduling, pricing, product merchandising cycles, new product rollouts, key logistics management, customer relationship development, contract negotiations and order fulfillment. Hold collections and budget responsibilities. Provide category management with service level expertise and product assortment for retailers private label brand. Design, implement and adjust reports and tracking for consumer products with a focus on growing the brand share for the customer’s brand. Selected Achievements: · Developed new private label consumer products service level reporting enabling the customer to realize increase of 3.2% in private label service level. · Initiated production scheduling strategy for fresh foods and perishable products. · Designed and implemented strategy which reduced unapplied brokerage by 300%. · Developed OMS reports assisting category management presentations which increased product authorization and distribution base by 12%. · Managed collections for 165 vendors. · Designed reporting log to track finished goods and packaging for all private label vendors ensuring seamless transition and reduced cost in packaging redesign process.
