As a member of the Building & Grounds Sub-Committee assigned as Project Manager to manage the project from initial design to completion in the installation of the AC system for the High School Auditorium. Results was under budget & on time * Standard Committee member in drafting the SAE J Standards for new alternative refrigerants that replaced R12 to R134a and early stages on R1234yf. * Always apply good engineering judgement relating standards, policies, rules and the federal registry relating to FMVSS Standards & Regulations for the automotive industry. * Collaborative work with DOE to create an energy calculation, fuel efficiency, and heat load to interior & exterior of vehicles to reduce emissions and improved fuel economy. * A good relationship with suppliers, OEM and engineering collaboration on the work done in SAE, MACS, EPA, DOE and Advance Research in HVAC & Engine Cooling applying CFD on Program development * No product liability recall was my motto relating to HVAC system in the application of continuous improvement relating to Reliability, Quality & Performance verified during JD Power IQS reports published. * Cost reduction, fine tuning & weight savings improvement to meet fuel economy, weight and cost targets * The use of CFD to reduce time and number of prototypes from 12 to 2 iterations, equivalent to over $150K per iteration + parts averaging cost of $150+ (about 30 pieces), plus over 150 hours per iteration * Used a Climatic/Environmental Chamber to decrease reliance on outside world testing, increase confidentiality & reduced cost per vehicle by $250K per year, for total 10 vehicles per program * Managed & developed a Test Standard for Hill Climb Simulation & city traffic course at the Proving Grounds for subjective & competitive evaluation, airflow bench test, cut-body for heater/defroster test, cooldown, NVH & air distribution, internal engine water flow balance to engine cylinder block & head * Developed the First Water Pump bearing Critical Speed Determination & Durability Standards for all engine sizes using flex-fan, solid fan & viscous clutch-driven fan * Created the First Heat Rejection Cell in determination of Engine Heat Rejection at various engine loads and sizes, from Concept to Automated Data Acquisition & Recording
