Lead Navigator Affordable Care Act Initiative Ascension Health/Providence Hospital Mobile AL (2013-2014) * Oversaw navigator team operations funded by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) grant - covering 16 counties in southern Alabama (including budget management staff training community relations and development of content for media placement). Planned organized and supervised outreach events in collaboration with other internal departments and external organizations. * Supervised navigators and certified application counselors. * Established operational procedures for client services and developed printed materials for public dissemination. Responsible for grant management compliance and grant proposal development. * Prepared and managed statistical and financial reports for senior leadership. * Actively served on Alabama Affordable Care Act Statewide Steering Committee participated in regularly scheduled Health Insurance Marketplace meetings with representatives of CMS and contributed to Ascension Health grantee meetings. * Prepared public service announcements and interviewed with news reporters and radio talk show hosts to provide Affordable Care Act updates.
