I am currently the Director of Outlets at The Wynfrey, Hyatt Regency in Birmingham AL. We are a 329 room convention facility with 32k sq/ft of function space and two outlets. Shula’s Fine dining steak house and Merk’s Tavern (a Scottish style pub). At the Wynfrey I work hand and hand with the sales department to optimize our 2 Private Dining Rooms (PRD) in Shula’s as well as the 1 PDR in Merk’s Tavern. I call on corporate accounts as the Outlets Director with the BDM to drive the local business market to our restaurant and create menu specials for events being help in the PDR’s. This drives business and allows the client the opportunity to experience the services of one of the country’s finest steak house’s. I also oversee the staff of both kitchen’s as well as room service to create an efficient operation. I am well contacted and respected throughout the industry, having a reputation as a decisive leader and executive level problem solver with keen business acumen and unparalleled integrity. I recently served as the Food and Beverage Director at the Waterford Marriott, OKC Oklahoma. The Waterford is a 197 room full service hotel/destination with 10k sq/ft of meeting space and an upscale restaurant and lounge, The Blue Fire Grill. I also served as the Hotels GM for a period of 6 months as we search for a permanent GM. I was responsible for all aspects of food and beverage. From recruiting and training for both, restaurant and banquet staff as well as the oversite of Executive Chef and his culinary staff. Responsibilities include redesigning (along w/ executive chef) a new menu driven towards local culture and market needs. As GM for 6 months I was tasked with fiscal and financial responsibility of the day to day operation of the property heading into a 10 million dollar renovation in the summer of 2015. I have owned a traditional Irish pub for 9 successful years generating 1.5 million in sales annually sales and managing over 40charity events held on property earning more than 200k in charity dollars. I was directly responsible for all aspects of the restaurant as sole owner, staffing, kitchen, entertainment, financial management as well as the day to day operation. I have served as Director of sales and marketing for 2 separate household moving services companies with a proven track record of commercial business growth. Implemented programs to improve market share as well as company image with the community. Over the years, I have consistently hired, trained, and mentored lower and middle managers that have gone on to prosper for the companies for which I work and later as executives at leading companies throughout my career. At this stage, I have built an extensive network of contacts and associates with many corporations. At this point in my career I am available to relocate with-out restrictions.
