  • Major duties included: (1) Draft grant proposals that targeted DOD, DOE, NASA, NIH, NSF, and USDA for external funding of innovative research projects. (2) oversight of a group of research, electronics, and packaging engineers in a team environment, (3) coordinate in-house R&D efforts with outsourced services provided by collaborators and consultants, (5) supervise projects and delegated daily/weekly/monthly research assignments to ensure that project goals and milestones were met, and (6) interim and final reports and presentations. Other duties included: (1) review, suggest, and approve purchases of chemicals, materials, and equipment, (2) design, implement, and instruct in-house technical education short courses for FTIR spectroscopy, electrochemical analysis, and analytical laboratory techniques, and (3) initiate collaborative relationships with scientists from academia, industry, and various government agencies and national labs.
