February 1985 to present Vice President of Data Center Monitoring & Control: 2009-current • Onsite staffing providing 24x7x365. • Responsible for traditional centralized console command operations. • Maintain physical aspects of the plant, including server reboots, security card management, all portable media management, and tape vault management. • Proactive and exception based monitoring of centralized infrastructure. • Provide continuity management of 24x7 daily operations. • Manage computer resources (staff and equipment) to meet daily established OLAs (Operating Level Agreements) for batch delivery and online availability. Implement Changes via IPL, POR, weight changes…etc…on behalf of Level III. • Monitor and manage inbound and outbound transmission traffic via various protocols. • Liaise with “the street”, other data centers, and/or business vendors to insure on time receipt of required processing data and delivery of inbound OLAs. • Monitor test, QA, and production onlines, databases, and O/S to insure stability and availability. • Execute planned business recovery scripts. • Continually identify and document process improvements. • Develop and record operational procedures. • Provide risk analysis of service delivery processes. • Prioritize major service issues for resolution. • Manage service impacting or significant business events, maintain timeline, document impact via ITSM incident management, escalate per standard operating procedures. Engage support teams. Provide communication to upper management, Help Desk and business partners. • Manage batch workloads in Test, QA, and Production environments. • Manage point of call resolution to incoming client/partner phone calls. • Maintain a full suite of service metrics. • Manage market hour’s conference call, and direct escalation activities. • Assign trouble tickets, incident reporting. • Respond to trouble tickets. • Participate and respond to audits, SOX, SAS70s. • Lead formal AM & PM turnover. • Lead interview and hiring process for new talent • Lead SOXS and auditing recurrent projects. • Ensure all staff are cross trained in our different platforms. • Ensure computer platforms are available outside of all documented maintenance windows. • The Command Center supports trading, 401K, accounts processing, wealth management private client, and institutional banking, VISA. • Integral part of command center relocation from NY to PA and FL.
