One recent example was his approach to Advanced Collections testing. Abdul-Hakiym was part of an alpha-testing group tasked to work with the AC application for two weeks prior to a wider rollout. Not only did he perform the required testing along with the group, but also took it upon himself to create a PowerPoint file for his co-workers which detailed workarounds for various functions that weren't performing efficiently. Another example is related to process improvement. Some time ago Abdul-Hakiym approached me with an idea for transitioning the credit department from a bureau-centric to an aging-category model. At the time it wasn't feasible, but now it seems it may be a workable prospect for 2009. His diligence along these lines is highly valued and much appreciated.
