I passed my General Contracters exam and received my B2 license(small commercial and residential) at the age of 22. I obtained my C3 license(Carpentry, woodworking, etc.)the following year. All jobs have been pre-fabricated by myself in my custom shop, with the exception of some of the mouldings, then installed by myself in the field.

  • I worked as a journeyman carpenter installing millwork and cabinets. I also worked as a foreman, from time to time, supervising small jobs. I supervised up to 15 men at a time, on jobs less than 2 million dollars. Coordinated job-site installations and delivery of necessary materials. Also I communicated with job-site superintendants to make sure work progress and schedules were met, and attended all foreman meetings. Most of these jobs were very "high-end", consisting of stain grade and faux finish millwork and casework. Interpreted shop drawings and architectural blueprints to create all lay-out for millwork installation at jobsite, as well as build templates of walls, ceilings, etc. for shop fabrication. I installed crown moulding, casings, archways, wall panels, doors & hardware (residential and commercial including panic hardware), trim, ceiling treatments, cabinets, restaurant booths, full bars w/footrail and drink scupper, FRP paneling @ back of house side, GFRC, GFRG, and other types of castings, bathroom vanities, ADA requirements,etc.... I worked overtime if necessary to finished the projects on time and within the budget.

  • I worked as a journeyman carpenter installing millwork and cabinets. I installed crown moulding, wall panels, doors, hardware, trim, ceiling treatments, and cabinets. I worked for this company more than once between 1993 and 1996. I was also in charge of the lay-out for every bar in the casino area at the MGM Grand hotel during construction. I installed millwork facades at Sam,s Town Hotel & Casino in the atrium area. Facades were located from the 2nd to the 10th floors, and they consisted of siding, window treatments, capitals, and crown mouldings. It was exterior type work, but was located inside the building. I installed crown moulding and chair rail all the way up the MGM hotel high-rise. Mouldings had to be mirror matched on all cuts due to "Egg and dart" patterns. I worked as a framing carpenter at a commercial strip mall setting beams, trusses, & doors. I also worked other properties performing tenant improvements such as; Setting pre-hung metal jambs, doors, and panic hardware. Building partitions using metal studs and drywall. Installing box-beam ceiling and crown moulding in the home of the owner of Grove Construction.

  • I owned a kitchen and bathroom remodeling company with my father. I passed the contractors exam and therefore was the qualified employee of the company. I possessed a B2 and C3 license in the state of Nevada for over 5 years. Our work mainly consisted of residential kitchen remodels, but we also did some small commercial jobs. I became fully experienced with every aspect of remodeling and new construction. Performing ceramic tile installation (floors, tub & shower enclosures, and countertops) drywall, tape, texture, and paint, as well as some light plumbing and electrical work.
