Dear Sir or Madam, Good morning. I am a recent college graduate looking for entry-level writing work. In addition to being a creative, insightful and accurate writer, I have a thorough knowledge of AP style and strong research and computer skills. I have a degree in English writing with a minor in journalism from Indiana University. My writing talents, research skills and work ethic earned me a 3.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a membership in the Omicron-Psi Honor Society. I worked at the campus newspaper, The Communicator, where I was quickly promoted from staff writer to editor of the Politics & Money section. While working with a diverse team of journalists, I gained valuable experience assigning stories, writing headlines and designing pages. I have references and writing samples available upon request. I am willing to relocate and able to cover all relocation costs. I have the energy and drive to work any shift, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
