I am a 69 year old recently widowed woman, raising two grandchildren. Although I have no degree, I have quite a lot of experience in writing speeches, organizing events, writing scripts for same, and some radio and newspaper advertising.

Highlights:

When working for City of Westminster, CA, we waged a campaign to have the Queen of England visit our City and possibly become a sister city to Westminster, England. Falling short of that goal, I helped entertain British Navy who accompanied the Queen to Los Angeles. We were later invited to San Diego to go aboard the Queen's yacht.

I organized Mayor's Ball and Mayor's Prayer Breakfast in Westminster, CA. I also started a program there called "Pause for the Pledge" held every year on June 14. I wrote speeches for Council people and provided material for a debate when a councilperson was running for senate.
